Lead from the Front

Disagreement in
Washington leads to occasional insults, disparaging comments, irrational
behavior, mindless nonsense, threats, and a spoiled child syndrome personified. This behavior is illustrated by:
§ The person displays immature and childish behavior, is focused on self,
and lacks consideration for others.
§ The person will also throw tantrums on minor issues and also resorts to
manipulative and controlling behavior.
§ In extreme cases, the person can also get into physical aggressiveness
and violent behavior to fulfill their demands.
The opposite behavior
is maturity, the validity of decisions, and respected commentary. Personal engagement to determine facts and
courage is expected. These are
indicators of adulthood, caring, and seek sustainable solutions to problems. For
example, the following article explains a decision by Maine’s Representative
Golden, “Rep. Golden, 8 other centrist
Democrats throw a wrench in plans to advance $3.5 trillion budget bill.”
Multiple examples by
those elected to congress illustrate missing courage and conviction to act appropriately. Illustrated all too often, bears out the lack
of concern for the Country to satisfy a tiny fraction of some particular
interest or group! Rarely do the elected
demonstrate the courage of their convictions, evidenced by the silence!
To those who stand and
“read” the day’s mantra, stop it!
Washington, DC politics has surpassed the ridiculous, and responsible
people are disgusted with the personal or hidden agendas. Failure to represent the people is
irresponsible and disingenuous. Time for
change is organizing, and with resilience, it will prevail.
Strength of character
rebuffs selfish and myopic behavior and illustrates willing collaboration: purpose
and representativeness. Developing leadership
skills is a simple exercise of self-learning (Lumb, 2021)[1].
Inclusion of others,
seeking representative opinion, and justification strengthen outcomes. While
an agreement is not always possible, honest, and truthful rationale surpass the
alternative. Problem-solving and
determining sustainable solutions is appropriate. It is what we expect and presents how we
should practice. Standing on one’s
own, representing constituents, making informed decisions, and doing what is
deemed proper, shows character and courage!
Each individual is capable of solid decision-making. If all mistrust would disappear and positive
attitudes appear, we are well along the road to positive change and
decision-making. Without a doubt, the country would be better off because of it.
Congressionally
elected by the people back home, you represent your home state. Be thorough in making decisions, stop the
politics, and rationale people will be supportive. Allowing some so-called “leader” to bully,
tell you what to say and do (clones do that), to threaten and act juvenile is
beyond disgusting. If someone else is looking for a bus to leap under, so be
it! You do not have to.
Be you’re a person who
seeks input from citizens, does their homework, confer with others, and makes
decisions based on facts and sustainability of positive change. We shall respect you for that. Representative Golden has taken some difficult
paths, justified why, and emerged more
robust for the courage. Politics aside, it was the right thing to do and
demonstrated the courage of commitment.
